The truck is designed to optimize operating costs, safety and comfort. There will be only 45 units available.

To celebrate your 45 º aniversario of uninterrupted presence in the country, Scania Argentina launched a truck that will become the dream of every transporter. With a production limited to only 45 units, one for each year of history, will be sold exclusively in the local market. Owns a unique visual identity and a equipment designed to optimize operating costs, fuel consumption, safety and comfort.

Scania 45th AnniversaryOutside, the 45 years Limited Edition evidences a unique image. Still with a distinctive hue, its color white Distinct White allows you to fit the aesthetics of all fleets. The painting combines perfectly with the sky blue graphics, in homage to the Argentine flag. In them stands out, on both flanks, a new Griffin and aggressive lines. The number 45 and the legend "Limited Edition" also stand out. In turn, each vehicle has your unique serial number inscribed, from # 01 to # 45, which enhances its personalized character.

The new truck, designed for regional and long-distance routes, incorporates the spacious R cab, one of the most comfortable on the market. It has tThree available versions of motorization and axis configuration: R 500 4 × 2, R 500 6 × 2 y R 540 6 × 4. The first two deliver 500 HP and 2.550 Nm of torque, while the remainder offers 540 HP and 2.700 Nm of torque at low rpm. All are based on the platform of Euro 5 13-liter 6-cylinder in-line engines.

The 6 × 4 axle configuration brings an absolute novelty for our country, since the third axis allows it to be uncoupled and raised. That greatly reduces tire wear and fuel consumption compared to any XNUMXWD truck.

The incredible model incorporates the latest advances and a great novelty: the G33CM gearboxspecially developed to fit seamlessly with Scania's new engine platform. It has 14 automated gears with Scania Opticruise system and overdrive, with up to 4 programmable reverse gears and 1 creeper gear.

Side fairing, front spoiler, electrically adjustable spoilers and wraparound taillights integrated into the fender help improve aerodynamics and minimize fuel consumption. The capacity of the tanks was also maximized: they house, respectively, 890 liters of diesel (in the 4 × 2) and 800 liters (in the 6 × 2 and 6 × 4). Combined with the low cost of operation, its configuration provides the greatest possible autonomy.

Scania 45th AnniversaryLa fullfilment of security requirements it was also a priority aspect when specifying the unit. In addition to the active and passive systems that come standard in all R series cabs, such as Adaptive Cruise Control (AiCC, which helps to maintain a constant time interval in relation to the preceding vehicle), Advanced Emergency Brake ( AEB, which prevents accidents with vehicles positioned ahead by means of a camera and radar) and the Lane Change Alert (LDW, which warns when the truck deviates from its path involuntarily), the exclusive model adds a red seat belt ( more visible from outside the unit), steering wheel airbag and side curtain airbag. Scania is the only brand in the world to offer the latter device, which reduces the probability of death in a rollover by 25%. In turn, all the mirrors are electrically adjustable.

El interior comfort is another of the highlights of this limited edition: dashboard fully upholstered with soft materials, leather steering wheel, drop-down table on the passenger side for driver use and extendable berth up to 1 meter wide (the widest on the market), they are some of the hallmarks. On the outside, air suspension on all axles, including the front, increases driving comfort.

On March 26, 1976, Scania began production in the country at the Colombres factory, Tucumán. Today, this is one of the brand's two transmission component machining plants (the other is located in Sweden) and its products equip Scania vehicles around the world.
