A mural is inaugurated in tribute to the victims of road accidents

As a result of the problem of traffic accidents, which claim around 6.000 lives per year in the country, the National Network of Traffic Accident Victims and Municipality of Vicente López, through its program I lived Art, summoned the renowned plastic artist Claudio Baldrich to leave a work of art in memory and tribute to the fatal victims.

The mural, located on the iconic corner of Libertador and Corrientes Avenue in Olivos, will be inaugurated this Tuesday, September 21 at 17:XNUMX p.m. with the presence of the National Network of Victims of Traffic Accidents, the municipal authorities and Mayor Jorge Macri.

Claudio Baldrich stands out for using different materials in his works, such as acrylics, enamels and latex, managing to create mixed textures in his works.

"I am very honored that both the municipality and the family members have called me to carry out this project, who with all their pain, trusted me to express with art something so difficult and painful to tell"explained Baldrich.

“During all this work I had many feelings that crossed me, from joy to sadness, especially when I proceeded to write inside each star the names of each of the victims, which I did not know, but somehow felt close to me. ”, added the artist.

With Meters long 20 This mural, made in three stages, represents the pain involved in losing a loved one, but is supported by a content of life and seeks to raise awareness of its value, giving visibility to these fatal events.

In addition, it seeks to involve the citizen to raise awareness about road safety, making it more supportive and responsible, so as not to add another star to the sky.
