Sébastien Loeb faces its sixth participation in the Rally Dakar with a firm objective to be the protagonist and to be at the top of the podium. After getting a second and third place with Peugeot in 2017 and 2019 respectively, he now seeks to return to the fore with the BRX Hunter which, in the opinion of the Frenchman, can become very competitive thanks to the changes in the technical regulations of the race.

"The main novelty is in the regulation, which is the T1 +. The cars are much wider -30 centimeters more than before- so it goes from two meters to two meters and 30 centimeters. We also gained three inches in suspension travel and we have the largest wheels; last year they were smaller for 4x4s. Now we all have the same wheels and tires… I think it will be more efficient and a lot more fun to drive", he claimed Loeb and then added: "I think the car is good, we have improved a lot since last year; and the regulation also changed. It is very pleasant to drive so I hope we will be competitive at all levels.".

Sébastien LoebThis edition of Dakar Rally will be your first experience without daniel helena as a navigator. After the "divorce" of the emblematic duo, the French opted to go up to the Belgian Fabian Lurquin, who accumulates eight participations in this competition and who managed to win a stage and finish eighth in 2019 together with Mathieu Serradori, with whom he raced the last three years.

"I decided to go with Fabian because we had to improve different things and navigation was one of them. I think he did very good things in the past, so I hope he will be of great help this year to fight for the victory. I will do my best on my side and I hope he does the same on his side"Said the Frenchman who was very enthusiastic about being present at the start of this event:"The Dakar is still exciting, it is a great challenge. We know that it is not easy to win because it is very long and very demanding with all kinds of conditions. Every day something new happens, but in the end it is exciting and motivating".

Finally, Loeb He confirmed his desire to succeed and completed: “Of course he would be happy with the victory. I already have two podiums and the goal would be victory. But like I said, it is very difficult to predict what will happen, so we will try to do our best for sure.".
