“I am definitely very happy to join this team. At the end of 2016 we had a contact, but there was no way for those negotiations to materialize. I am delighted to be working with such an iconic brand as Toyota and my childhood idol Tommi Makinen. The plan is to win races and, of course, the title ”, Ogier summed up.

“We know how strong Sébastien is. We are all looking forward to working with him and Julien (Ingrassia, his co-driver). I think being able to attract a driver who achieved six titles says a lot about what we have achieved in such a short space of time with this team ”, he reflected Tommi Makinen, responsible for the Japanese team.
“Elfyn is a driver that I have been watching for some time. We have seen that he can have the speed to win on almost any surface, but he can also be very smart when necessary and score good points. Kalle is very young and has a lot to learn, but very well prepared to take this step ”, He added.
Trio replace newly crowned world champion Estonian Ott Tanak, which has changed to Hyundai Motorsport; to finnish Jari-Matti Latvala and the british Chris Meeke, both with an uncertain future in the specialty.
