Shelby GT500CR Carbon Edition: To fly low

It looks like a muscle car, but the performance of a supercar.

Classic Recreations presented his latest creation: the Shelby GT500CR Carbon Edition, a muscle car with the maximum weight / power ratio and stiffness thanks to a carbon fiber body.

Based on a body of Shelby from 1968, This car takes the best of today's European supercars, but with the look of a muscle car of yesteryear.

Shelby GT500CR Carbon EditionTo take full advantage of the Shelby GT500CR's low weight underneath the carbon fiber body, it features a highly capable powertrain. It's about a 8L V5.0 engine (Coyote) with mechanical compressor that delivers 810 CV and that is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

It also features a coilover-adjustable suspension, high-performance exhaust system, and six-piston front and four-rear disc brakes.

The bodywork of the Shelby GT500CR Carbon Edition is accompanied by LED lights (the rear are sequential), a clear coat with UV protection that reveals the carbon fiber fabric and 18 ”wheels with Michelin Z tires.
