Commanded by former driver Sebastian Martino, he will enlist two Honda Civic Type R TCRs that have no confirmed drivers yet.

El TCR South America added a new team, in this case Argentine. It's about the Squadra Martino, which will be run by the former pilot Sebastian Martino. The team will be on the track with two Honda Civic Type R TCR in the series' inaugural season, which will be produced this year.

Squadra MartinoThe two units, which are already in Argentina, will arrive next week at the team's headquarters in Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba. Squadra Martino will share the facilities of the Puma Energy Honda Racing de Super TC2000.

“This new project puts us once again on the international scene and within a championship that will surely be very competitive as TCR is used to doing in the world. For this structure it will be a huge challenge to put two Honda Civic Type R TCRs. We have everything to fight from the beginning for important things ”, Martino indicated.

“We are very happy with the incorporation of Squadra Martino to TCR South America. With these two new Honda Civic Type Rs the grid for our inaugural season is enlarged ”, stressed Federico Punteri, Director of TCR South America.

In the coming days, the Cordoba team will define the two drivers who will be driving the two Honda Civic Type R TCRs.

  1. This category is unknown, in principle by the promoters (Felipe McGough, the same from the South American Tourism that lasted only 5 seasons), by the European customer race cars used (most of them are not sold in South America, like this Civic Type R), for the small number of cars and for what I saw also for the choice of circuits (at least those in Brazil, all horrible)
