The new Subaru WRX STI, with British rally champion Mark Higgins behind the wheel, set a new record at the legendary Isle of Man track. The experienced driver managed to complete the challenging circuit in just 17 minutes and 35 seconds.
Higgins managed to improve his previous record set in 2014 by 1 minute and 49 seconds at an average speed of 207 km / h. In addition, the Englishman reached a spectacular top speed of 290 km / h.
Subaru in collaboration with Prodrive has applied all its knowledge and experience in the world of competition creating the definitive WRX STI that has served Higgins to confidently attack every point of the circuit that runs on conventional roads.
The Subaru is equipped with a boxer engine of more than 600 hp for a weight of less than 1.200 kg, offering a spectacular weight-power ratio that allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2 and a half seconds and set times similar to those who set the bikes in the legendary Tourist Trophy.
