TCR South America postponed the start of its first championship

The first tournament of the specialty will start in June and not in May as originally planned.


Due to the travel restrictions imposed by the health situation by the COVID-19 in the region, the 2021 calendar of the TCR South America It was modified. This measure was taken in agreement with CODASUR, which will oversee the brand new category.

The championship, which was to start in May, will start on the days June 26 and 27 in Interlagos (Brazil). The event will be shared with the emblematic Truck Cup, which will provide an unbeatable setting for the opening of the contest.

TCRThe dates of the two endurance events for the inaugural season were also updated: The first will be the July 24 and 25 in Curitiba (Brazil) within the framework of the second date; while the other will be the October 2 and 3 in Buenos Aires as part of the fifth engagement of the year.

Before the Argentine appointment, the specialty will be presented at Velopark (Brazil) the 28 y 29 August and in Rivera (Uruguay) on 11 and September 12.

The other two visits to be made in Argentina will be the October 30 and 31 and November 13 and 14 circuit that will be announced in due course. The closing of the tournament, meanwhile, will be in Chile or Argentina on December 4 and 5.
