Techeetah joins the Extreme E

The team Techeetah, champion of the Formula E, announced his admission to the Extreme E, becoming the first team to represents Asia in the off-road electric car series which is scheduled to start in early 2021.

Techeetah replaces Venturi on the grid for the first season of Extreme E, as the Monegasque team has decided to focus its efforts on its campaign on Formula E and on an innovative space travel program.

Extreme E participants will compete head-to-head, each taking control of one of the ODYSSEY 21 specially designed for this series. Teams will have the opportunity to customize areas of the body, such as the engine cover, front and rear bumpers, side apron and lights in an attempt to replicate the look of everyday car models.

Group events will begin in December 2020 before teams board the Extreme E floating paddock, the RMS St. Helena, before the opening race in early 2021.
