Techrules Ren: No Chinese Tale

Chinese automaker Techrules unveiled the final design of its first hybrid supercar at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Ren is the first production vehicle from the China-based automotive research and development company, and features its proprietary technology TREV ( Electric Vehicle with Turbine Recharge).

Inspired by the aerospace industry, the design is optimized for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, with a striking three-cabin modular design that has been created by Fabrizio and Giorgetto Giugiaro, world-renowned automotive designers. One of the car's most prominent and spectacular features is the fighter jet-inspired cockpit, which lifts up to allow occupants access, and futuristic features like laser headlights and reversible rear star-burst LEDs.

The Ren features a lightweight chassis that has been designed and built according to the highest quality standards by the prestigious specialist LM Gianetti from Turin. Ren is the world's first electrically produced supercar with the innovative TREV (Turbine Recharging Electric Vehicle) system, hybrid powertrain technology that offers unprecedented levels of efficiency and performance and ultra-low environmental impact.

A wide variety of configurations will be available to tailor the powertrain to exact customer requirements. The highest version of the range, with a battery capacity of 25 kWh and with two engines at the front and four at the rear, it offers a maximum power of 1.287 hp with a range of 1.170 km on 80 liters of fuel. diesel (NEDC).

The appeal of the Ren is reinforced by the interior that offers maximum exclusivity through the incorporation of the most luxurious finishes. The Ren is packed with new technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a variety of driving modes. Inside the driver's cockpit, the center of the steering wheel contains a self-leveling display showing instrumentation focused on the car's performance while rear-view cameras power three control displays.

Techrules' advanced luxury supercar will provide a unique group of customers with a unique blend of unprecedented power, performance and efficiency. Beyond the Ren, the innovative powertrain and platform concept will support family and city cars, with the potential to create new and distinct variants in the future.

In traditional Chinese culture, Ren is the first of the five values each person is born with to contribute to society. Ren represents humanity and goodness, and was chosen for Techrules' first supercar as it reflects the spirit in which many prominent scientists, engineers and designers have dedicated themselves to the project.
