Tesla temporarily suspended production of its 3 to "improve automation and solve bottlenecks," and thus increase the pace of production in the future, according to company spokesmen.
In February, Tesla already had to suspend production of the Model 3, a vehicle that the luxury electric car company wants to be its first mass-produced model.
The news of the suspension of production of the Model 3 caused the drop of Tesla shares in the opening of markets in the United States even though the company received good news from China.
The Chinese authorities have decided to lift restrictions on the ownership of factories of foreign manufacturers located in that country, which will benefit electric vehicle producers such as Tesla in the first place.
Tesla does not yet have an assembly plant in China, but it is one of its goals to increase the production rate of the Model 3.
But the priority of the automaker is to solve its problems in its only assembly plant, located in the Californian town of Fremont (United States).
The suspension of production comes a few weeks after Tesla announced that in early April the pace of assembly had quadrupled compared to the last quarter of 2017 ...
