Toyota Etios with more security in all its versions

Toyota Argentina incorporated new improvements to your Etios model, which has maintained an outstanding performance since its launch in 2013, becoming one of the benchmarks in the compact car segment.

The Etios 2018 has new features mainly in its safety equipment and its exterior design. Reinforcing Toyota's commitment to the safety of its vehicles, all its versions now incorporate stability control, traction control and hill start assistant.

Stability control works by controlling the response of the engine and brakes, selectively applying braking pressure to the necessary wheels in order to correct the trajectory and keep the vehicle in the desired direction.

Traction control works by applying braking force to the corresponding wheels to prevent them from skidding, as a result of excessive acceleration or a floor with low grip, for example, thus allowing the vehicle to advance correctly.

Hill Climb Assist keeps the vehicle braked for a few seconds so that it can be started without the vehicle sliding backwards when starting off on steep slopes or slopes.

Regarding its exterior design, the Etios 2018 continues to enhance its appearance. XLS versions will now have the upper front grille painted black, plus blacked-out headlamps and taillights.

It should be noted that Etios continues to be equipped with the reliable 1.5 liter engine with Dual VVT-i technology that continuously adjusts the opening and closing times of the intake and exhaust valves. This constant coordination results in greater power and, in turn, better optimization of fuel consumption, reducing CO2 emissions. The maximum power is 103CV (76Kw) at 6.000 rpm, while the maximum torque reaches 137 Nm at 4.200 rpm.

The Etios also continues to be offered with two gearbox options: a six-speed manual and a four-speed automatic. The manual transmission is the same that equips the Corolla and achieves an excellent reaction at low speeds and a significant decrease in engine revolutions thanks to the sixth gear. This contributes not only to improved performance but also to fuel economy. In addition, as since 2016, the automatic transmission is offered that allows improving ride comfort especially for urban use.
