With his mind set on extending his dominion in the World Endurance (WEC), the Toyota GAZOO Racing put his new prototype back on track: the Toyota GR010 HYBRID conceived under the new regulation LMH of the specialty.
The test was carried out in the Spanish circuit of Aragon and it lasted three days. Unlike his previous passage through the Iberian track, carried out before the official launch of the hypercar, this time it was possible to shoot at night.
The six TGR pilots participated in the tests: the champions Jose Maria Lopez, Mike conway y Kamui Kobayashi; and the other trio composed of Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima y Brendon Hartley. Even rolled Nyck de Vries, test pilot and reserve.
"It was a much more positive test than the one we did last month", summarized Pascal Vasselon, technical chief of Toyota GAZOO Racing Europe. "We were able to achieve our target mileage before the start of the season, which is good news.", Agregó.
The drivers worked with different settings to have parameters of the car's behavior. “It is an intense period for the whole team, something normal with a completely new car”, Vasselon pointed out about the third test carried out by the vehicle that replaces the successful one Toyota TS050 HYBRID of the extinct class LMP1.
