A run without errors allowed the Finn Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) stay with the win in the Turkish Grand Prix, 16th date of the 2021 season of the F1. This is the Nordic's tenth success, who had not won since last year's Russian GP.

In a test that at all times had wet track, Bottas started from the first position to take advantage of the penalty of his English partner Lewis Hamilton, author of pole position and forced to leave eleventh for a penalty by changing the combustion engine in its power unit.

Bottas had at all times as an escort Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who never had a chance to fight for victory against the superiority shown by the Silver Arrow No. 77. Anyway, the Dutchman was the other big winner on Sunday as he went on to lead the tournament with second place.

The Turkish podium was completed by the Mexican Sergio Pérez (Red Bull), whom his team I had requested him to arrive in the Top 3 to stay in the fight for the Builders Cup.

On the track where he celebrated his seventh title last year, Hamilton had a good first half of the race that allowed him to reach third place. However, after changing tires at the end, he lost two places and crossed the checkered flag in fifth place behind the Monegasque. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari).

Both Hamilton and Leclerc, who came to lead during several laps, evaluated the possibility of completing the entire GP with the rain tires with which they started (something that the regulations allow), but their compounds were not so good as to risk that tactic. The French Esteban Ocon (Alpine) was the only one to do so and financed 12th after starting XNUMXth.

After this presentation, Formula 1 is preparing to cross the Atlantic Ocean and appear in United States next October 24 with Verstappen at the head of the positions with six point advantage about Hamilton.
