The British company Viritech presented in society the Viritech Apricale, a high-performance supercar powered by hydrogen. The production of this vehicle will be limited to only 25 units.
Although the company did not disclose details of the mechanics, it did announce that its power will be close to the 1.100 horses, that their autonomy would be close to 800 kilometers and that it will have a final speed close to 320 km / h.
The aim of Viritech, which is based at the MIRA Technology Park in Warwickshire, is to demonstrate the efficiency of hydrogen fuel cell technology to offer it to other companies specialized in the production of cars, heavy vehicles, airplanes and ships.
To demonstrate the flexibility of your concept, the British firm has also applied it to a concept in the form of an SUV. "We will share the results with the original equipment manufacturers involved in the transition to electric vehicles to demonstrate how a hydrogen SUV can reach the market", claimed from the company.
Returning to the Apricale, the first functional model would be ready in 2022; while production would start in 2023. The price? Some Two millions of euros.
