This alliance is established to build a solid and long-term relationship that encompasses, but does not limit, the fulfillment of several objectives, including taking advantage of the experience of both parties for the development of new and recognized technologies, create common platforms for Isuzu Motors and UD Trucks for medium and heavy trucks for the Japanese market and other Asian countries, using, among others, technology from the Volvo Group and explore new opportunities for urban logistics solutions.

The Volvo Group and Isuzu Motors will establish a Joint Alliance office with facilities in both Japan and Sweden, which will be overseen by a Board comprised of the President of Isuzu Motors, the CEO of the Volvo Group and other key executives from the two groups.

Another of the agreements signed by both companies establishes an alliance with a minimum duration of 20 years to develop solutions in the logistics industry of the future, given the great complementarity of products and geographical location between the Volvo Group and Isuzu.
