Electric range ID. de Volkswagen adds a new member: the VW ID.4 GTX, the sports version of the SUV 100% ID.4 that stands out for its good power and performance.
The ID.4 GTX is the first model based on the modular electric propulsion platform (MEB) equipped with all-wheel drive with two motors, one on each axis. Together they deliver a maximum electrical power of 299 CV (220 kW), one hundred more horses than the ID.4.
“Fun is not incompatible with efficiency and with the ID.4 GTX we will bring a new dimension of sportiness and dynamism. The most emotional member of the ID family to date proves that electric mobility and high athletic performance are compatible ”, said Ralf Brandstätter, CEO of Volkswagen.
With a maximum speed of 180 km/helectronically limited, the vehicle is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 6,2 seconds. Its autonomy is 480 kilometers thanks that the motors are powered by a battery of 77 kWh, capable of supporting fast loads of up to 125 kW.
“The innovative operating and safety concept is as smart as the drive. For example, the driver is supported by an exclusive head-up display with augmented reality and numerous assistance systems "indicated Thomas Ulbrich, responsible for company development.
Its design underlines its sporty character and establishes a connection with the Golf GTI2. The body color is more dominant than the rest of the ID.4 range, while the roof and rear spoiler are black, and the roof frame bars are glossy anthracite.
The ID.4 GTX will launch in June in Europe. For reference, in Germany it will have an entry price of 50.415 euros.
