The VW Gol already has a substitute ... The VW Polo Track

Manufactured in Brazil, it will be the new entry-level model for the region.

Alexander Seitz, CFO of Volkswagen, confirmed during the presentation of the company's global balance sheet that the VW Gol has an expiration date in South America and that the new entry-level model for the region will be the VW Polo Track.

VW Polo TrackIt will be manufactured in the Brazilian plant of Taubaté, where the Goal is currently being produced, on the new MQB platform.

The change will be beneficial in the security aspect since to comply with the regulations that will enter on January 1, 2024 in Brazil it will have ESP, double airbag, brakes with ABS, Isofix anchors, head restraints and three-point inertial seat belts in all five seats.

The VW Polo Track, which will sport an adventurous aesthetic with the incorporation of black wheel arches and stickers with its name, will use the 1.0 MPI three-cylinder gasoline engine who already use the Goal or the Up.

Should it arrive in Argentina, as expected, it would also be equipped with the 1.6 MPI of 110 CV. In any case, coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox.
