As announced last year, the initial plan was to reposition the performance window by adopting the specification of Goodyear tires 2021 and reducing the maximum power of the motor by 30 kW.

Following the initial testing phase and consultation with both Goodyear and the teams, the committee has decided that retaining the previously used compounds is the most appropriate option, given their proven and consistent performance in all conditions, as well as their drivability. .

In addition, the lower power limit will help reduce operating costs by extending the life of the different components.

The new level of performance will be introduced in all competitions (FIA World Endurance Championship, European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series) using LMP2 cars fit to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021.
