The trio, aboard the Toyota TS050 HYBRID, he dominated the last appointment of the contest and achieved the long-awaited consecration.
López, Conway and Kobayashi had finished second in the championship, seven points behind their teammates in the Toyota GAZOO Racing, the Swiss Sebastien Buemi, the New Zealander Brendon Hartley and the Japanese Kazuki Nakajima.
After taking pole position, they narrowed the gap to six points and thanks to a magnificent race, which had them as leaders during all laps, they achieved glory twice: they won the test with more than a minute over Buemi, Hartley and Nakajima , who penalized with the 54/100 handicap, and also added the many necessary to be above the final table.
