Xiaomi confirmed that it will produce electric cars

The Chinese company Xiaomi, dedicated to the design, development and sale of smart phones and other electronic products, confirmed that it will invest 10 one billion dollars over the next decade to enter the electric vehicle market.

XioamiAlthough it was not officially confirmed, within this project Xiaomi would have the automaker as a partner Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd, that would be in charge of the production of the vehicles.

It is speculated that this first Xiaomi vehicle will use the platform LEMON., which is the most advanced and adaptable of all that Great Wall has and is already used in the model ORA Good Cat.

As part of the project, Great Wall will offer technical advice to Xiaomi for the duration of the electric car development process. The first model of this alliance would see the light during 2023.

Founded in April 2010, and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since July 2018, Xiaomi technology was originally created as a connection company, with the production of mobile phones and smart hardware connected by a platform of Internet of Things (IoT).
