XING Mobility, an electric vehicle technology provider, launched an electrical conversion kit that can be installed in any car. It was featured in the SEMA Show 2019 in a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro.
The heart of the XING Mobility kit is a patented modular battery system which can be assembled as blocks to meet a wide variety of configurations based on the size, shape and power needs of the vehicle.
The electrical system uses a immersion cooling technology, something that increases battery life cycle up to in 3.000 charge cycles and that it requires very little maintenance during its operational useful life. As if that were not enough, the Refrigerant fluid also contains fire fighting properties.
Along with this solution, the conversion kit includes a transmission adapter, a technology that allows high-power induction motors to be installed directly in existing transmission systems without the need for major modifications or tools.
This method is compatible with General Motors LS series transmissions, but can also be adapted to match other manufacturers' powertrain systems. In the case of the conversion of this 1969 Camaro, XING Mobility has integrated a 450 volt induction motor what produces 320 horses.
