Under the slogan "Energy that transforms us", YPF y Toyota announced an alliance that will be reflected in several areas, including sports. As a result of this agreement, which was initialed by Miguel Gutierrez, as owner of the oil company; Y Daniel Herrero, president of the automaker; both companies will work together on innovation, technology, research and mobility.

The first business precedent between the companies was the provision of renewable energy by YPF Light, with a duration of ten years, which includes a first stage in which the Toyota plant in Zárate will sustain its production with 25% wind energy, and a second stage from 2020 in which 100% of its Energy needs will come from renewable sources.

“This new step in the strategic alliance with YPF represents Toyota's commitment to continue working on continuous improvement through different agreements that are sustained by mutual trust and in the long term, and which in turn allow us to continue offering products. and increasingly better services for our customers "Herrero said.


“Both companies understood that there are enormous opportunities for synergy to develop products and services that improve the customer experience. We have not set limits within the framework of this strategic alliance between two central brands in the country that trust that together they can strengthen each other to contribute to the development of new businesses ”, Gutiérrez added.

ON THE TRACK

This association can be seen on the track through the Toyota GAZOO Racing YPF Infinia, new denomination that has the team that represents the Japanese brand in the Super TC2000 and Top Race. On the occasion of this announcement, they were also present at the presentation, which was held at the YPF Tower in Puerto Madero, Dario Ramonda, responsible for the team; the pilots Matias Rossi, Julian Santero y Mariano Altunaand Juan Maria Traverso, brand new sports advisor.

Traverso joins the Toyota team as a sports advisor.

"For us it is a great honor to start our 20th season at the highest level of Argentine motorsports representing Toyota and welcoming YPF to our sports organization since this year", Ramonda explained.

“Of course, and as always, we will work to achieve the maximum objective for which we are here. We have an outstanding team of pilots and a first-rate technical and human team, with which I am sure that we will be able to take on these challenges ”, added the team-manager.

The Toyota GAZOO Racing YPF Infinia will present two cars in each of the categories in which it competes. In the Super TC2000, which this year will debut motorization, the Corollas have Rossi and Santero as drivers; while in the Top Race the Camry will be driven by Rossi himself and Altuna.
