Toyota GAZOO Racing Argentina announced the incorporation of the new Toyota Corolla GR-S to the product family GAZOO Racing. This model comes to complete Toyota's sports line up in the region after the launch of the Hilux GR-Sport. Corolla GR-S is also the first model produced in Brazil under the GR brand and developed in partnership with Toyota GAZOO Racing Argentina.
The new Corolla GR-S improves its performance thanks to changes in the suspension configuration and the incorporation of new aerodynamic parts. Major modifications include valve adjustments to the front and rear shock absorbers and changes to the stiffness of the rear coil springs and anti-roll bar.. In turn, additional floor covers were incorporated and a rear aerodynamic deflector and a lower structural reinforcement were added in the body.
As for the powertrain, it is equipped with the new 2.0L Dynamic Force Dual VVT-i engine with direct and indirect injection and a maximum power of 170 CV at 6600 rpm, with a torque of 200 Nm. This motor is coupled to the Pre-programmed 10-speed Direct Shift CVT transmission, with a gear in the first gear to improve the exit of the vehicle, sequential mode, paddles behind the wheel and Sport driving mode.
The new Corolla GR-S, like the rest of the vehicles marketed by Toyota, has a transferable warranty of 5 years or 150.000km (whichever comes first). The price for the GR-S version is $ 2.598.300 effective as of February 2021.
